Dear reader. If you are not aware of the history of Norway, the Norwegian state was under Danish rule until 1814 and after the Kieltreaty 112 electives made an new constitution at Eidsvoll the 17. Of may 1814, which is the Norwegian constitution today, with ideas from the US, French, Swedish, Massachutes and Spanish constitutions. Norway was given to Sweden after the Napoleon war with roots from the congress in Vienna, and was under an Swedish-Norwegian King from 1814 to 1905 until we came under an elected danish Prince which became Norwegian King again in 1905, even under the occupation years from 9. april 1940 until 8. of may 1945, where the King and his familiy where transported under military protection to London and the US. Norway is still an constitutional monarchy today, and Norwegians are celebrating this day all around the world on 17. Of may, evry year. Norway celebrates this day without military parades, but with children parades and flags, ice cream and hot-dogs, escpecially on the Oslo`s main street, Karl Johan, unforward too the Castle, where the royal familiy salutes the children in Bjørnstjerne Bjørnsons spirit, since its 152 years ago the first children parade in 1870 from Akershus castle.
